Free event to focus on Veterans’ benefits

A veteran, their spouse, dependent or survivor may be eligible for VA health care benefits. Enrolling in these programs may reduce or eliminate costs for medical supplies, office visits, prescriptions and even assisted living expenses.Find out what benefits are available to you and how to access them from Lisa Helms, Veterans Service Supervisor with the Missouri Veterans Commission. Helms will answer your questions about eligibility and the types of assistance available at 2 p.m.

Veterans, their spouses and widows are invited to Farmington Presbyterian Manor for a free pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m. November 11 at Presbyterian Manor, 500 Cayce St., Farmington.“We appreciate their service,” said Jane Hull, executive director. “It’s an honor to serve our area veterans, their spouses and widows each year and remember their sacrifice.”Gifts will be given to veterans as a token of appreciation.Reservations are required as space is limited.
