Resident finds faith, food and friends key to assisted living

Before Peggy Thomas moved to Farmington Presbyterian Manor, she had two basic requests for life in assisted living: space and light.

“The place where I was living was redecorating and they put me in a real, tiny room. I got claustrophobia and left. It was dark. I like light!” said Peggy.

After living in our community, Peggy has not only found the space she was looking for with good lighting, she’s found other things she loves about assisted living at Presbyterian Manor.

“The food is delicious (I love the food), I like the place and I like the people—from the staff to my friends. Faith is important to me, too,” said Peggy. “I have my bird and a nice view with a beautiful tree outside.”

But Peggy encourages those exploring options for assisted living to find out for themselves what they want out of their living arrangements.

“Look around and see what you like best. People’s views are different,” advised Peggy.
